How Support Signals work

Ask for a listening ear—or be there for someone when you have the time.

When you need support

  1. Send a signal. Sign in, choose a category, and share a short note about what would help. You can stay anonymous to other members.
  2. Open your support room. Matching volunteers receive a notification and can join you there.
  3. Talk at your own pace. Replies may take time and aren’t guaranteed. The room closes after four hours, or you can close it sooner.

When you can offer support

  1. Join free or sign in. You need a member account to volunteer.
  2. Choose to receive signals. Turn on “Receive Support Signals,” choose the categories you can help with, and save your preferences.
  3. Listen when you’re able. Check the notification bell for signals. Open a room to offer a kind reply. You can pause or turn off signals anytime.

You don’t need all the answers. Listen without judgment and share encouragement or your own experience. This is peer support, not emergency care. Find urgent help and trusted resources.
